Day Camps 
Camp Cherokee 2025 Day Camps is an enriching academic experience for Cherokee Nation students entering grades 1-6 during the school year 2025-26. Then camp will include classes in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as well as cultural activities. Students must have a Cherokee Nation Citizenship Card. 

Residential Camp 
Camp Cherokee 2025 Residential Camp is an enriching academic experience for Cherokee Nation students entering grades 7-12 during the school year 2025-26. The camp will include classes in the areas of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) as well as cultural activities. Students will be placed in a core class based on the ranking of their areas of interest, as designated on their application. Evening hours will provide time for recreation, enrichment, and large camp events. Students must have a Cherokee Nation Citizenship Card. 

Camp Cherokee 2025 Residential Camp will be held at Heart O’ Hills Camp and Conference Center, at Welling, Oklahoma. There is no cost to attend this overnight camp. Space is limited so early applications will receive preference.

Frequently Asked Questions

Electronic devices are not allowed at Camp Cherokee.  All materials for classes and activities will be provided.  The on-site camp office will have phone service if needed. If your child is found to have any electronic device at camp they will be sent home.

Campers must be Cherokee Nation citizens to be eligible.

No money needed; all meals are provided free of charge and Camp Cherokee will fully supply all materials needed for classes and activities.

Please do not make appointments during the week of camp.

The nursing staff will have a supply of both bug spray and sunscreen available.

Yes. Heart O’Hills will have swim time every afternoon. Tulsa, Catoosa, Vinita, Grove, and Vian locations may also have one water day.
