Any member of the public, 6 months and older, regardless of where they live, is eligible to receive the COVID-19 vaccine. Walk-ins are welcome at any of the tribe’s outpatient health centers from 8:00 a.m. - 4:00 p.m.

Same Day Clinic visits are for injury or illness that requires immediate care to prevent it from developing into a greater threat but is not serious enough to warrant a visit to an emergency room.
The CNOHC Same Day Clinic should be used if your primary care provider is not available or if you do not have an established primary care provider.
Same Day Clinic visits include, non-emergent, but are not limited to:
- Influenza, COVID-19 and strep testing
- Skin problems or infections
- Strains and sprains
- Minor lacerations
- Urinary tract infection
- Earaches
- Sore throat
- Upper respiratory tract infections
An emergency condition is an acute illness or injury that requires immediate care to save a life or prevent a permanent impairment of limb or eyesight.
In the event of an emergency, call 911 or go to the nearest emergency department for treatment.
Emergency Department visits include, but are not limited to:
- Chest Pain
- Stroke Symptoms
- Severe Bleeding
- Inability to breath
- Broken bones
- Severe eye injuries

When a patient calls to schedule a Same Day appointment, visits are scheduled on the hour and at the half hour for each Same Day Clinic provider. (Example: 8:00am, 8:30am, 10:00am, 11:30am) The last appointment time is scheduled at 5:30pm Monday - Friday.
Operating hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am – 6:00pm excluding holidays observed by Cherokee Nation.
Patients presenting after these operating hours, will receive an intake at Same Day Clinic, then will be seen and treated in the W.W. Hastings Emergency Department.
Pediatric patients over the age of 3 months may be seen in the Same Day Clinic but will receive the option to present and be seen in the Pediatrics Department on the 3rd floor of CNOHC for a walk-in visit. To schedule an appointment, call 539-234-1270. Walk-ins are welcome.
Patients under the age of 3 months can be seen in the Pediatrics Department or the ER, located within W.W. Hastings Hospital.
Patients may be seen in the Same Day Clinic but will receive the option to present and be seen in the Women’s Clinic on the 3rd floor of CNOHC for a walk-in visit.

Outside of regularly scheduled appointments, the following information details walk-in patient care models for each clinic.
Resident Clinic
Located on the 4th floor of CNOHC. Residents are physicians in training who see and treat patients with oversight from licensed physicians within this clinic. Patients who have an established primary care provider in the Resident Clinic can be seen for walk-in visits.
Operating hours are Monday through Thursday 7:30am – 6:00pm and Fridays from 7:30am – Noon. Operating hours exclude holidays observed by Cherokee Nation.
Walk-ins are accepted until 4:00pm Monday -Thursday and 11:00am on Fridays. Any walk-ins presented past this time may be seen in the Same Day Clinic.
Primary Care
Located on the 4th floor of CNOHC. Patients who have an established primary care provider in the Primary Care clinic can be seen for walk-in visits. If a patient’s primary care provider has a full schedule on the day they present for care, patients may be seen by another provider (typically a nurse practitioner) within this clinic on that day.
Operating hours are Monday through Friday 7:00am – 5:30pm excluding holidays observed by Cherokee Nation.
Currently, walk-in appointment schedules begin at 8:00am for patients whose primary care provider has a full schedule, and they are being seen by another provider (typically a nurse practitioner).
The last walk-in appointment time is scheduled at 3:40pm Monday - Friday. Any walk-ins presented past this time may be seen in the Same Day Clinic.
Same Day Clinic
Located on 1st floor of CNOHC. Patients who do not have an established primary care provider in either Primary Care or Resident Clinic can be seen for walk-in visits.
Patients who have an established primary care provider in either of these clinics who present as a walk-in outside of their clinic’s operating hours can be seen in the Same Day Clinic.
Operating hours are Monday through Friday 7:30am – 6:00pm excluding holidays observed by Cherokee Nation.
The last walk-in appointment time is scheduled at 5:30pm Monday - Friday. Patients presenting after these operating hours will receive an intake at Same Day Clinic, then will be seen and treated in the W.W. Hastings Emergency Department.
