Infant/Child CPR/First Aid Training is required and will count toward the 12 annual training hours.

CPR/First Aid Training Requirements:

  1. Must include Infant/Child CPR/First Aid
  2. Must be an in-person or hybrid class (online with a hands-on portion in person)
  3. Must meet OSHA requirements

The training is offered free through ICW and Cherokee Nation EMS. If you are unable to attend a free class, other options are available with fees and are listed below.

CPR/First Aid Training Options:

  1. ICW and Cherokee Nation EMS (Free without a card): Please contact your certification worker to sign you up for a class. (If you wish to receive the CPR card after the class, there will be a $20 fee)
  2. Indian Capital Technology Center (Campuses include: Tahlequah, Muskogee, Sallisaw, Stilwell) offers Cherokee Nation ICW foster parents CPR classes for $15 per person (includes a CPR e-card). To receive the discount and pay $15 per person, the foster parent must manually sign up by contacting the following person at the campus they wish to take the class: (The ICTC Catalog class link is: https://www.ictech.edu/apps/pages/evening-classes)
