Personalized License Plates
An individual may purchase a personalized license plate for an additional $15 plus $1.50 for shipping and handling. Personalized license plates are available for motor vehicles and motorcycles. The numbered tag assigned by the Cherokee Nation must remain in the vehicle at all times. Personalized renewals expire at the same time as regular tag renewal. Regular tag renewals must be done before a personalized tag can be renewed. Plates considered to be offensive to the general public will not be issued.
Special Characters are NOT available. Only one hyphen or space can be used as part of the configuration, but not both.

Special License Plates

Transfer of Special License Plates
A special license plate may be transferred to another vehicle upon the owner’s submission of a completed request to transfer form.
